TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in local communities around the world.
Let's talk about your idea worth sharing.
In one or two sentences, what is your idea worth spreading?
Why must our audience hear this idea? And why now?
Why are you the ideal person to give this talk?
What is a working title for your talk?
If you are selected, what do you want the audience to get from your talk?
Have you spoken publicly before?
Do you currently live in the Pacific Northwest? If not, would you be able to travel here if we cannot find funding?
TEDxSeattle speakers receive extensive coaching by our team and, on average, devote 50+ hours to the process.
